Digital Massurrealism
Drawing on his knowledge of computer and commercial design techniques, processes and working methods, Alan has developed his own unique and recognisable style. Strong, bold and rich with colour, his vibrant and vividly surreal landscapes bridge the gap between Surrealist imagery and New Media technique. His mathematically sculptural drawing style leaves in the traditional art aspect while the computer allows him to combine the real and the imagined, creating new and intriguing images.
A master of digital technique, Alan continues to experiment and explore new methods of New Media to fulfill his artistic impulses.

During the late 1990’s he started experimenting with mass-media and combining artistic techniques with the aid of the computer – this genre is called Massurrealism. In Massurrealism the artist combines images from the outer world (the Mass) and inner world (the Surreal).
In 2004 he was invited to become a member of the Massurrealist Movement by it’s founder and has set up a website to promote this style of art in the UK.
A member of the International Association of Two and Three Dimensional Artists, and the Society of All Artists, Alan has exhibited in London, Hungary, Germany, Argentina, Portugal as well as doing both solo and group shows at the Peacock Gallery with PEDAS, and the WET-PIXELS digital art group which he founded and runs. His work has also been accepted into the Museum Of Computer Art in New York
A compilation of Alan’s artwork is about to be published and will soon be available on Amazon.co.uk
