The sea and its movement attract my attention. I have painted in oils and water colour, but now I am attracted to acrylic.
Sheila Slayter moved from Lincolnshire to Cornwall in 1998. She obtained a BA(Hons) in Studio Ceramics from Falmouth College of Arts.
While doing research for her degree, Sheila did a considerable amount of drawing and painting; This reawakened her desire to paint.
In her early years Sheila attended Plymouth School of Art and later obtained a Diploma from the London Art College.
Sheila is a member of a local art group and also exhibits her work in the Wavelength Gallery in Falmouth and the Fine Arts Gallery in St Just.
