| Prints and Quality |
| What type of quality can I expect from your prints? |
At
Oakapple Art we take great pride in the quality
of all our prints and customer satisfaction is our
number
one priority. Every print that we produce has had the
approval of the individual artist to ensure that they
are as close
to the original piece as is technically possible.
|
| What type of paper do you print on? |
| Canvas
Paper - Made from the highest quality
100% cotton duck fabric, this unique heavyweight,
quality canvas utilises a tight weave that is
ideal for photographic and fine art reproductions.
With a high resolution coating that is pliable
enough to withstand stretching, Canvas displays
a subtle texture for a true artistic look and
feel. Combined with incredible colour reproduction,
a medium gloss finish, and acid free archival
quality base and our canvas prints will not fade
for over 75 years.* |
| Fine
Art Paper |
The museum archival quality Smooth Fine Art Paper produces images with vivid
colour reproduction and high contrast. A true artist look
is achieved thanks to the smooth hot press surface and
low glare of this Fine Art Paper. |
| What size prints do you offer? |
All
of our prints come in three sizes; Large, Medium
and Small. The dimensions of the different size
prints are calculated by the largest dimension (height or width) of the individual
piece of art.
Small
- 30cm largest side(12” inches)
Medium - 50cm largest side (20” inches)
Large
- 76cm largest side (30” inches)
The
other dimension of each print is determined by the proportions
of the original painting based upon the size you
request. |
| How
do I know my Limited Edition Print is genuine? |
Each
Limited Edition Print is accompanied by a Certificate
of Authenticity
that is signed, dated and numbered and
is personally sent to you by the artist . |
| Will the print look just like the online image? |
We
go to great lengths to ensure that our online
images accurately represent the actual prints.
It is our opinion that the actual prints look
fantastic “in person”. This is why
we confidently stand by our products with a
complete satisfaction money-back guarantee.
*Actual
print stability and longevity will vary according
to image, display conditions, light intensity,
humidity, atmospheric conditions, inks, and
post-printing treatments. Epson does not guarantee
stability or longevity. For maximum print life,
display all prints under glass or lamination
or properly store them.

| Shopping |
| Why are some prints available only on Fine Art Paper
and some only on Canvas? |
Some
of the artists featured on Oakapple Art have personally
requested that their work only be reproduced
on a particular medium as they feel that this is the
best way of complimenting their work.
Our Artists retain full artistic control of their
work. |
| Do you offer a framing service? |
Every Canvas print comes complete with a natural wood
box frame at no extra cost to the customer. At Oakapple
Art, we use the same high-quality framing components that
you would find in traditional fine framing stores. Our
assemblers are professionally trained and we pride ourselves
on our state-of-the-art facility. In addition, we offer
you the convenience of at-home shopping, 24 hours a day.
And you will receive your framed purchase delivered to
your door, usually in far less time than ordering through
a local frame shop.
Unfortunately
we can not frame your Fine Art Prints due to the
increased risk associated with sending glass
through the postal system. Also the majority of delivery
companies refuse to insure glazed frames. We recommend
that you purchase the frame after receiving the print
to avoid any confusion with dimensions. |
| What if I'm unhappy with my order? |
If you're unhappy with your print for any reason, contact
us for return instructions. We stand strongly behind the
quality of the prints on the site, and we want you to be
happy with your purchase.

| How are prints packaged? |
| Framed
Canvas Prints - Firstly, bubble wrap is
used to surround the entire framed print protecting
the canvas
itself. Next, a layer of hardboard is added to both
sides of the frame to give added protection throughout
shipping.
Finally another layer of bubble wrap is used to give
even more protection to your Canvas Print.
Fine Art Prints - Each Fine Art
Print is carefully hand rolled and then placed
in a sturdy, cardboard
tube ready for shipping.
We have tested these methods of packaging and shipping on hundreds of deliveries
and it has proven to be very successful.
